Dear Community,
We want to share important updates with you about our practice. There are some big changes coming!
Starting in March 1st 2025, we will be transitioning to a birth center only model and will no longer be providing homebirth services or traveling for prenatal appointments.
We will still be traveling within our service area for the 24 hour postpartum and 3-5 day postpartum appointments.
This change has been made with careful consideration and is primarily driven by our desire to provide the safest and most consistent care possible. Traveling long distances is unfortunately no longer sustainable while our team is still raising small children of our own. Remaining centrally located also ensures we won’t be further away than necessary.
We also know that having well-rested providers is incredibly important.
We understand this may be a significant shift for some of you, and we are here to assist with any questions or concerns you may have during this transition. Our commitment to your care and well-being remains unwavering, and we believe our birth center will offer a wonderful, supportive, and home-like environment for your birthing experience. We love homebirth, and we want to maintain a warm, cozy, clean, and beautiful environment for you and your baby.
Children are welcome at appointments and births and we will have space for them to sleep and play. We ask that during births someone else is available to attend to the children if needed (your spouse, a family member, a friend, a sibling doula, etc)
While we are shifting away from homebirth, we are also adding to your care. We are welcoming a wonderful IBCLC to the team who will be available to see all moms prenatally to discuss breastfeeding goals and past difficulties, and of course postpartum to ensure your best possible chance at a successful breastfeeding journey. Whatever that may look like for you.
We will also be hosting childbirth classes from local educators. You can have your appointment, chat with the IBCLC, and attend your child birthing class in one day.
Those currently planning homebirth may continue to birth at home, but will now have the option to birth at our birthing center.
Thank you for understanding and your continued trust in us. We look forward to supporting you at our birth center and being part of your incredible journey.
-Midwife Kate
For those with estimated due dates prior to March 1st, 2025:
An initial 1 hour consultation is free* to all families as a place to ask questions, get to know one another, and decide if it is a good fit for us to work together. Contact me to set up your first consultation.
My cash-pay fee for homebirth midwifery care starts at $3,300, which includes all prenatal, labor, birth, and postpartum care, as well as lab work. Ultrasounds are not covered under my fee, but these can typically be billed directly to your insurance.
Ask about our flexible payment plans and available discounts. Clients outside of Roswell are charged a $700 traveling fee. Those who choose to split visits 1/2 in-home and 1/2 in-office will receive 50% off their travel fee. Repeat clients receive a $500 discount. I currently accept Medicaid, however I do require a $400 Booking Fee. For private insurance, cash pay is required. However, our biller will help you with reimbursement after the birth.
