Private Childbirth Classes

This extended visit combines your routine prenatal appointment with additional time dedicated to hands-on birth preparation. During this visit, we’ll discuss the birth process, common comfort measures, labor positions, partner support techniques, and practical ways to navigate labor with confidence. You’ll also have the opportunity to experience and practice many comfort tools  including birth balls, peanut balls, labor positioning aids, options, rebozos, massage techniques, and other non-pharmacologic comfort measures. This allows families to become familiar with the tools before labor begins and explore what feels most supportive for them.

Cost & Insurance Coverage 

We accept Medicaid for these classes.  Because Medicaid provides a limited number of covered doula visits, participating in this visit may reduce the number of prenatal doula visits available through your doula. We believe informed consent extends to financial and insurance matters as well, and we want families to have all the information needed to decide what is best for them.

For those without Medicaid, this 2-hour class is $125.
